I was so excited and just ready for more when I arrived at Google my second morning.I was also slightly nervous because I knew we had an IT session and I get very frustrated when I try to code! BUT the day started out really well,we began we a session all about the Google product I'm currently using-Blogger!
We were taught all about how to use the site and create our own blog about our experience on the OneWeek@Google programme.I really enjoyed the session, despite my many technical difficulties....whoops.
Next came the infamous IT session, which actually turned out to be completely amazing and one of my favourite sessions of the entire week (tied with YouTube - but that's for Thursday's post!).Anyways it was so cool,we learnt all about the hardware and what's actually going on inside a desktop, then best of all-we got to break one open and pull everything out to see for ourselves! It was so unique and cool to be able to actually hold the pieces in our hands, the process of trying to get all the pieces loose was so interesting and it required a lot of teamwork which was fun.Once we'd finished that we got to the hard part, putting it all back together! My team put the everything back in place first, winning the challenge to do so by a landslide and got some pretty cool swag for our efforts :))
We also got to learn a little bit about coding during the session which was really difficult (as I had anticipated) but also really good and I wasn't nearly as frustrated and terrible at it as I taught I would be.

Next we had an interview and CV workshop,we were given tips on how to create an effective, simple,to the point CV.We were given a template and some time to create our own CV's.
Finally we had a session on Adwords, how Google makes it's money. It was informative because I had no idea how specialised the job actually is and the work that goes into making sure the client gets the most traffic to their site.
I really enjoyed the day and I learnt a lot about the inner workings of Google and how to get a job here!
